How to Turn On Dark Mode in Garmin Connect
For the past few months, I have been focusing more and more on my fitness. It started, when I tried to run a 5k and couldn’t even run 1 mile of it without sounding like I was heaving up one of my lungs.
I believe, if you have some skin in the game, it helps you focus more on the goal. So, to help me be more dedicated about getting fit, I purchased a Garmin Instinct Tactical. I was just going to purchase the base Garmin Instinct but I liked the fact that it was able to offset some of the battery being used by a solar panel and I could see me using the tactical features for when I do some firearms training.
After about the second or third week of me using the watch, I found out about the online Garmin Connect dashboard. This allowed me to look at my metrics in far greater detail than what was on the watch. The only downfall I saw was that it didn’t have a Dark Mode.
So, I thought… why not make one?
Getting Started
To use the Dark Mode I created you will need either Google Chrome, Firefox, or any other web browser that enables you to have extensions or plugins added to it.
Once you have selected your browser of choice, install Stylus.
Stylus is a web browser extension that allows users to re-design their favorite websites and share them with an ever-growing community.
After you have successfully installed Stylus, open Garmin Connect, tap on the Stylus icon to the top right (if you’re using Google Chrome) and select “Find Styles.”
This will look up all the styles that are for the Garmin Connect Dashboard. And at the time of writing this, there is only one, mine.
The only thing you need to do to turn it on is to click anywhere in the box that looks like the above, and DONE. You now have the Garmin Connect dashboard but with Dark Mode!
